The New Century Chamber Orchestra will embark on a tour of the Midwest and California on February 1, 2011. Before the ensemble departs, celebrate the launch with a special concert featuring the tour repertoire, including audience favorite Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla, and Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, which was “marked by vigorous rhythms, dramatic urgency and a freewheeling, spontaneous approach” in Ms. Salerno-Sonnenberg’s first performance with the orchestra, according to Joshua Kosman of the San Francisco Chronicle.

This is a special event performance, and not included in the price of the 4-concert subscription. Subscribers may choose to add this performance. Flexpasses will be honored for this event.

This tour is underwritten, in part, by the National Endowment for the Arts.
